One of Oklahoma’s Youngest Entrepreneurs Makes a Splash

15 year old Dominque Embry began her scented lotion business as a summer hobby. Mixing scents for family members quickly grew into a real business. Soon, selling her products at the local Farmers’ Market, Dominque and her company Danje Body Collections became a local hit. The collection of body lotions and shower gels include an array of scents ranging from Summer Time to Berryful. Gift sets are also available that include a rubber duck.
Forming a professional website and making appearances on local radio stations to promote her company, the aspiring model has reached a level of success that she didn’t expect. Showing people that women can be beautiful and smart at any age, Dominique enjoys marketing her company. With the support of her family, Dominque plans to add more products the line. With dreams to make the collection available to entire nation, this young entrepreneur also has a strong philanthropic side. Dominique’s grandmother is a breast cancer survivor and some of the proceeds of her sales go to benefit a local charity called Women Who Care. This organization provides mammograms to women who cannot afford them.
“With a little faith and hope, you can do and be anything that you want to be”, said Dominique Embry, owner of Danje Body Collections. Inspired by Tyra Banks, this sophomore at Muskogee High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma, enjoys inspiring youth to follow their dreams.

Sprint Celebrates Epic Moments at the 24th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards

September 30th, 2010 – Sprint partnered with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation to honor the achievements of some of the most influential names in the Latin community during the 24th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Celebrity actress Giselle Blondet hosted the star-studded event that celebrated the epic contributions of each of the following honorees: Juan Luis Guerra: Arts; Mario “Don Francisco” Kreutzberger: Legend; Alejandro Sanz: Vision; America Ferrera: Inspira; Cuauhtémoc Blanco, Sports; U.S. Representative Luis Gutiérrez: Leadership and Jaime Escalante (Posthumous Tribute): Math and; Science.

Some of the most influential Hispanic celebrities and tastemakers were in attendance and walked the Sprint red carpet.
