Marc, Ana, Isa and THE POWER OF TWO film crew had an informative advocacy discussion at the Capitol Hill Briefing with Congressional Rep. Mike Honda. His opening remarks highlighted the importance of organ donation among Asian Pacific Islanders Association (APIA) communities and he signed up to be an organ donor by registering on his driver’s license. The film team visited NIH and other federal agencies as well as the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS).
Marc Smolowitz candidly spoke about the twin’s 10-city tour trip throughout Japan. In Japan, organ donation is very rare and controversial. While filming at the National Donor Memorial an important legislation on organ transplantation was being passed.

Participants gladly stopped by to share and receive a LifeStar pin.

Best wishes to Marc Smolowitz and Anabel Stenzel and Isabel Stenzel Byrnes and their team! We can’t wait for this exciting feature documentary film to be shown at the Sundance Film Festival and hopefully as a nominated documentary film in 2011 at the Academy Awards on OSCARS® night! Stay Tuned…
